From the Attic Window is an online creative magazine. It is a writer’s den. There are various objects inside the attic and they all stand for a side of human psyche and behavior. Through the magazine, we are trying to put different perspectives into words. They are all right. They are all needed. Someone has been standing behind the curtain and looking through the window.

This magazine is an attempt to throw light on this obscure window and the anonymous observer. The articles, poems and letters in this magazine are the observations and insights that the observer sculpted into words.

1. Gypsy Feet- Gypsy breaks the norm. She travels to unexplored and often forbidden territories. It is this attitude that forces her to live on the margins. She is too ‘different’ to mix and merge.

2. Well-Thumbed Diary- Diary is personal. It records whatever impacts us the most. Relationships, memories, events- they are all a part of diary. Turning the pages of a diary can be extremely therapeutic.

3. Glass Half-Full- Reality is how we perceive it. Sadness is a state of mind. Blessing is when we cherish it. Bane is when we choose to deny it.

4. Lantern the Sentry-Everyone sleeps soundly because he is out there to guard. He is awake and alert. He stands between us and the world. He is the protector. He is sentry.

5. Faded Curtain- If it is faded, it is much used. If it is used so much, it is dear to us. It’s a part of us. It’s familiar. It brings joy. It’s that part that stays forever.

6. Rusty Chair- We forgot to oil it. For months, it got wet in the rain and we didn’t bother. The paint was peeling and screaming for attention. It needed repair. Then one day that brown rust appeared and made it cranky.

7. Wisdom Vessel- It is the ability to make the most out of something with least damage. Each one of us is a student of this subject. Some boast about it while some stay quiet. It soothes pain and cherishes happiness. It is a life-long study.

8. Tattered Mat- It is an old soul. It has seated kings and also beggars. They were all same. Nobody knows it better.

9. Coffee Stains- Someone said doing nothing was the best form of meditation. To stare in space is also an art. There are very few who overcome the constraints of time and space. Those who do transcend the mortal world.

10. Creaky Sofa- A sofa creaks when it is tired. A memory is you plus ten kilograms. A relationship is you plus five hundred kilograms. If it is creaking, you are not lonely.
